How it works

Three steps, no 3D software

The whole pipeline lives in one browser tab.

01

Describe or upload

A sentence, a photo, or four photos for a multi-view build. Name the object, then the material, then the style.

02

Do3d builds it

A textured mesh in seconds. Retopologise it to a polygon budget, re-skin it, rig it — each step hands back a new model.

03

Export anywhere

STL and 3MF to the printer, FBX into Unity and Unreal, USDZ for AR on iPhone, GLB for the web and Blender.

What changes

The same prop, two Tuesdays apart

Nothing here is about better art. It is about how long it takes to find out whether the idea was worth making.

Without Do3d

the usual
✕Open a modelling app, or brief someone who can.
✕A day of blocking out, a day of UVs and texturing.
✕Retopologise by hand so it runs on a phone.
✕Rig it, or wait for whoever rigs.
✕Export, convert, re-export for the printer.
Two days gone before anyone sees it in the scene.

With Do3d

today
✓Type "miniature hulk", or drop in one photo.
✓Textured mesh in seconds, in the browser.
✓Retopo to any polygon budget, one click.
✓Auto-rig and press play.
✓Six formats out — STL and 3MF straight to the slicer.
In the scene before the coffee goes cold — and free from your own workspace.

Four tools most generators leave to Blender

Each one runs on a model you built and hands back a new one, so you can chain them.

01

Segmentation

Splits a model into its real parts — head, arm, wheel — so you can recolour, hide or export one on its own.

40 credits
02

Retopology

Rebuilds the mesh at the polygon budget you set: 180,000 triangles down to 4,000, quads or tris.

30 credits
03

AI texturing

Describe a surface — "aged brass with verdigris" — and get real PBR maps, up to 8K.

from 10 credits
04

Auto-rigging

Places the skeleton and binds the weights, so the model comes back ready to animate.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Everything people ask before their first build.

How do I make a 3D model from text?

Type what you want in the box at the top — “miniature hulk” is enough — and press Generate. Do3d builds a textured mesh in your browser in seconds. Spin it, download it, or keep working on it in the 3D Workspace.

Can I turn a photo into a 3D model?

Yes. Click the image icon beside the prompt box and upload a photo, sketch or product shot. Do3d rebuilds it as a 3D mesh you can retopologise, texture and export like any other build.

Which file formats can I export?

GLB, STL, FBX, USDZ, OBJ and 3MF, at the texture size you choose. STL and 3MF go straight to a slicer, FBX into Unity or Unreal, USDZ for AR on iPhone, GLB for the web and Blender. Exports inside your own workspace are free.

Can I 3D print what I make?

Yes — export STL or 3MF and slice it like any other model. Pick the High Detail pipeline for prints; it keeps the surface detail that matters once the object is in your hand.

Do I need Blender or any 3D software?

No. Generating, retopology, texturing, rigging and export all happen in the browser. Blender, Unity and Unreal are where the model goes after Do3d, if you want it there.

What do Segment, Retopo, Texture and Rig do?

Segment splits a model into its real parts so you can recolour or hide one. Retopo rebuilds the mesh with far fewer polygons so it runs on a phone. Texture re-skins the model from a text description with PBR maps. Rig adds a skeleton so it is ready to animate. Each runs on a model you built and hands back a new one.

How do credits work — is it free to start?

Every new account starts with free models and free build credits, no card needed. A job takes credits when the engine accepts it; if it fails or times out, the credits come back automatically.

What is the Marketplace?

Models the community has built and chosen to share, reviewed before they go live. Browse them, search by the prompt that made them, and export any of them in your format. Publish yours and it goes in front of everyone.
